Beaumont Economic Pulse
Beaumont, Texas – The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce has launched the “Beaumont Economic Pulse,” a comprehensive report that measures various economic indicators in the City of Beaumont. The report measures retail sales, home sales, new permits, car sales, total construction dollars, hotel occupancy, jobs created, and unemployment to provide a complete picture of the city’s economic health.
According to Steve Ahlenius, President and CEO of the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, “This provides us base numbers to measure the Beaumont economy and key activities that are indicators of economic growth.”
The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce continues to roll out new programs and services. Chair of the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, Rebekah Maxwell said, “The Economic Pulse provides businesses and policymakers valuable insights into the local economy and may help guide decision making. By understanding the key indicators of economic growth, companies can make informed decisions about investments and expansion, while policymakers can use the information to provide economic growth.”
The report uses 2010 as a base year and will track monthly activity for Beaumont. The Economic Pulse is available to the public and can be accessed on the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce website. The report will be updated monthly, providing ongoing insights into local economy.
