Accreditation
The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce is a Two-Time, Five-Star Accredited Chamber, representing the top 1% of chambers in the United States.
We are pleased to announce that in 2013 and 2018, the U.S. Chamber awarded the GBCOC with a 5-Star Accreditation, their highest possible honor.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Accreditation means that our chamber of commerce is recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as offering quality programs, practicing sound organizational procedures, effective communications, and reliably contributing to positive change in the community.
In order to receive accreditation, we had to demonstrate competency in the following areas: governance, finance, human resources, government affairs, program development, technology, communications, facilities and benchmarking.
ABOUT ACCREDITATION
Since 1964, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has invited state and local chambers of commerce to participate in its Accreditation Program. The program was designed to simulate a continuous self-analysis of an organization's growth and development with an opportunity to reassess its objectives, organization resources, program of work, procedures, and achievements. With nearly 7,000 chambers in the United States, Accreditation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is a prestigious honor that distinguishes the high quality, expertise, and strong leadership displayed by Accredited state and local chambers of commerce.
